Our 12-month Nurse Residency Program supports the transition from student to professional nurse through:

• Specialty-specific clinical orientation and training

• Regular progress check-ins and development milestones

Start dates are based on graduation and NCLEX completion.

The 20-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit provides specialized care for critically ill adults with complex cardiovascular conditions. Patients include those experiencing acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and other high-acuity cardiac conditions, as well as patients recovering from non-surgical cardiac procedures.

As a CICU nurse, you will develop skills in:

• Continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring

• Complex cardiovascular assessment and interventions

• Recognition and rapid response to changes in patient condition

• Management of acute and unstable cardiac conditions

• Collaboration with multidisciplinary cardiovascular and critical care teams

You’ll work alongside experienced nurses, physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, educators, and other clinical professionals in a supportive learning environment.

Summary:

Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director, the Clinical Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

1. Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs.
