Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Med Surg Neuro) – North Carolina

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 or 48 hours per week; contracts available through February 27, 2027; 12-16 weekend shifts required per contract

Highlights:

• Specialized neurology unit caring for neurosurgical procedures and neurological diagnoses
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
• 2 orientation shifts provided on unit following hospital-based orientation
• Float requirements within facility; first-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience
• May be assigned to Storm Team/Hurricane Team coverage as needed

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience required
• Neurology experience strongly preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, IV management, dysrhythmia interpretation, pre/post neurosurgery care, and wound care
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
