About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Observation Unit – Western North Carolina

Start Date: November 23, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day or night shift available; 20-bed observation unit with telemetry monitoring; rotating weekends (every other weekend); shift ratios maintained at 1:5 during day shifts (stretch to 1:6) and 1:6 during night shifts (stretch to 1:7)

  • Collaborate with a supportive team including charge nurses, RNs, PCTs, and unit coordinators
  • Utilize modern equipment including telemetry and Baxter infusion pumps
  • Opportunity to float to various medical-surgical specialties including trauma, renal, neuro, ortho, and general surgery units
  • Professional environment serving as the region's referral center for Level II trauma, comprehensive stroke, and Level III NICU services
Requirements:
  • Current North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Telemetry certification required
  • Med-Surg certification preferred
  • Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV starts, Foley insertion, and general observation unit procedures
  • Professional attire: navy and/or white scrubs
