QualificationsRequired Experience:
- Registered Nurse
- At least one year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Experience in psychiatric settings strongly preferred.
Education/Training:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current North Carolina State Registered Nurse License
- Current North Carolina Driver’s License
- Current CPR Certification
- CPI Certification
- Receive nursing report for incoming patients from sending facilities
- Triage walk-in patients who arrive for assessment
- Complete intake assessments
- Contact providers to obtain and enter orders
- Distribute patient medications as ordered
- Provide supervision of patients while awaiting transfer to unit
- Demonstrate professional phone etiquette and develop relationships with clinical staff at sending facilities
