Field Safety Consultant - OSHA at Exceed Safety Raleigh, NC

This role is based in Raleigh, NC. Local candidates only. (No per diem offered) This is not a staffing role.

The Field Safety Consultant inspects client work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations. This position works to create and enforce a culture of safety within Exceed Safety LLC and all client workplaces. Responsibilities also include documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures, and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability.

This position reports to the Director of Client Engagement and the assigned Subject Matter Expert/Project Manager.

• Provide support to all Exceed Safety LLC and client employees.
• Supervise field safety compliance ensuring that employees fulfill labor safety policies.
• Conduct safety classes and new‑hire safety orientations.
• Responsible for all county, state, and federal DOT compliance requirements.
• Enhance job knowledge by participating in educational training sessions.
• Inspect working conditions in manufacturing sites to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations and client requirements.
• Perform safety audits, job hazard analysis, and incident investigations.
• Advise and assist in the development and implementation of plans, policies, procedures, and guidelines to align safety programs with company and site goals.
• Conduct or assist with incident investigations to ensure thorough investigations, provide resolutions, and issue reports.
• Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues.
• Intervene in unsafe activities or operations.

• Basic: High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years experience in construction and at least 4 years of management experience.
• OSHA 500 certification.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Preferred: Associate Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or minimum of 1 year experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position; technical writing a plus.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work is conducted both in indoor office settings and outdoor jobsite settings. Environmental conditions may vary.

The physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, climbing, typing, carrying up to 40 lbs, pushing, and bending. Occasionally required to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Full‑time position with varying shifts. Pay: up to $40 per hour depending on experience. Per diem $204.00 per day worked.
