This inspector position is responsible for performing incoming material inspection duties on our Production Solutions products, working alongside our logistics team to ensure and verify supplier quality. This position will be based at our Knightdale, NC facility.
Shift Hours7:00AM-4:30PM
Hourly Rate$24.79
Qualifications- 1+ years of prior work experience with production & inspection in a manufacturing setting
- 1+ years of experience working with calipers, micrometers, tape measures, thickness gauges, levels, and other inspection tools
- Strong analytical skills to perform sequence of operation checks
- Must have the ability to read and work with schematic drawings and layouts for verification of parts
- 1+ years’ experience with inspection of welded components using welding symbols/tolerances per mechanical blueprints
- Basic computer skills, including Excel
- High school / GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization
- 1+ years of prior work experience with production & inspection at a Siemens facility
- Experience working with SAP and Salesforce
- Associates or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering
- Conform with Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policy and Management System and strive for continual improvement of the intended outcomes of the Management System
- Possess a team mindset and encourage solutions to problems encountered with supplier material
- Possess the ability to communicate with engineering and quality team on material that needs disposition
- Ability to inspect supplier workmanship and packing quality against internal quality documentation
- Perform incoming material inspection duties
- Inspect each supplier product to company quality standards and guidelines per internal documentation
- Review mechanical specifications and drawings for engineered parts to ensure that products have fabricated correctly
- Identifying non-conforming material, creating a detailed report of the non-conformance, moving material status in SAP, creating cases in Salesforce, and maintaining Excel reports
- Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports on incoming products
- Work with logistics and engineering teams during the inspection process and report any findings
- Adhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improve processes
- Must adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and others
- Perform miscellaneous other inspection duties assigned by supervisor or management
