Position Summary
UNC seeks a temporary Research Assistant to join Dr. Marissa Hall’s Policy Insights Lab (). The lab conducts research to inform food, tobacco, and alcohol policies designed to improve public health. This 11‑month position may be extended to up to two years based on fit and project needs. The role is in‑person at our study office in Raleigh, NC, and may require some evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities- Recruiting and screening study participants.
- Scheduling study visits.
- Conducting participant consent.
- Implementing the study protocol, including online surveys and in‑person data collection.
- Disbursing study incentives to participants.
- Assisting with data entry and other administrative tasks.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of training and experience). All degrees must be from accredited institutions.
Qualifications- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfortable working in teams or independently.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience or interest in tobacco control research or public health research.
- Experience working with human subjects research.
