Temporary Lab Assistant

Essential Job Duties

• RNA extraction.
• Assistance with plant RNA collection.
• RNA library preparation.
• Plant care.
• Dishwashing.
• Washing plant material.
• Lab upkeep and organization.

35-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9-5, occasionally weekends in lieu of a weekday.

Temporary Research Technician (hands‑on, on‑site work only).

• Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties.
• Lab experience with sterile technique.
• Experience working with plants.
• Understanding of transcriptional regulation and associated experiments for evaluation of changes in transcriptional regulation.
• Biochemistry training.
• Attention to detail.

• Biochemistry degree.
• Previous supervision experience.
• Experience with RNA extraction.

Hourly rate: $15-$22 per hour.
