Essential Job Duties
- RNA extraction.
- Assistance with plant RNA collection.
- RNA library preparation.
- Plant care.
- Dishwashing.
- Washing plant material.
- Lab upkeep and organization.
35-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9-5, occasionally weekends in lieu of a weekday.
PositionTemporary Research Technician (hands‑on, on‑site work only).
Qualifications- Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties.
- Lab experience with sterile technique.
- Experience working with plants.
- Understanding of transcriptional regulation and associated experiments for evaluation of changes in transcriptional regulation.
- Biochemistry training.
- Attention to detail.
- Biochemistry degree.
- Previous supervision experience.
- Experience with RNA extraction.
Hourly rate: $15-$22 per hour.
