Postdoctoral Research Scholar

The Kinga Unocic Research Group in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at North Carolina State University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scholar to start December 2024. The Postdoc Research Scholars' primary duties will include performing high-temperature oxidation testing, characterization of oxidation coupons, and assisting with the lab setup. Other duties and responsibilities include assisting with grant writing, bibliographic research and preparation of figures, and reporting activities, including collecting and collating results for reports.

Department Required Skills
- Computer word processing, spreadsheet, mapping and other computer-related skills MATLAB, or Python Well developed attention to detail Ability to work both independently and as a team member Knowledge of laboratory safety and biosafety practices

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
- Experience in laboratory testing, materials characterization, MATLAB, Python, fabrication

Anticipated Hiring Range - $58,656 - $59,000
