Position Information

Temporary Lab Assistant

Responsibilities

RNA extraction; assistance with plant RNA collection, RNA library preparation; plant care; dishwashing; washing plant material; lab upkeep and organization.

Schedule

35-40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 9‑5, occasionally weekends in lieu of a weekday.

Eligibility and Qualifications
  • Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties.
  • Lab experience with sterile technique.
  • Experience working with plants.
  • Poor understanding of transcriptional regulation and associated experiments for evaluation of changes in transcriptional regulation.
  • Biochemistry training.
Preferred Experience
  • Biochemistry degree.
