Position Information
Multiple positions for summer internships lasting 3 to 12 months. The role is temporary, up to 40 hours per week, and supports research activities within the Institute for Transportation Research and Education. The primary focus is on roadway monitoring, roadway modeling, safety, operations, and data processing.
Responsibilities include assisting with research tasks related to monitoring roadways, modeling roadway networks, processing and analyzing data, and reporting findings. Additional tasks may be assigned based on a candidate’s background and expertise. Candidates must be proficient in reporting writing, analysis, and communication with the research team and project sponsor.
- Assist with monitoring roadways for safety and operations.
- Model roadway networks and process data.
- Analyze data and prepare reports.
- Communicate findings to research team and project sponsor.
- Bachelor’s degree or enrolment in a related program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in reporting writing, analysis, and communication.
- Ability to work independently and conduct literature reviews.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., up to 40 hours per week.
