Assistance with molecular biology, plant tissue culture experiments in lab. Essential job duties include:
Design and conduct research experiments on plant transformation and regeneration. Assist the Principal Investigator (PI), graduate students, post-docs, and technicians in various experiments in the lab. Work may involve chemical dosage tests, plant transformation, plant tissue culture, making media, and performing molecular plant experiments. The candidate may also be responsible for helping with greenhouse and plant maintenance. They will participate in regular lab meetings and check-in meetings with PI to update progress.

Requirements and Preferences:
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. depending on work. Other Work/Responsibilities
- Other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor. Minimum Experience/Education - BS in Biology, Natural Resources or related field. At least 4 years of experience in a molecular biology lab performing PCR or plant care experience. Department Required Skills
- Highly motivated; excellent problem solving and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well independently. Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
- At least 4 years of experience in lab-based research, knowledge of conifers and genetics. Required License or Certification
- Valid driver's license.
