Temporary Lab Technician

Daily duties include:

• Assist research scientists with ongoing field projects on local and State water bodies
• Daily travel and field work in all weather conditions.
• Support of general laboratory-based activities
• Maintenance of field equipment, calibration of sensors, and detailed log keeping
• Other laboratory and field duties may be required as deemed by supervisor

Work Schedule:

10-15 hours per week between 9am-6pm M-F, with flexibility as needed depending on field conditions

Requirements and Preferences:

Minimum Experience/

Education:

Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties

Required Skills:

Proficiency in data collection Experience with equipment calibration using water quality sondes, light meters and current meters Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis

Required License or Certification:
Valid driver's license

Valid NC Driver's License required? Yes
