Temporary Research Technician
The Irwin Lab is hiring an independent and motivated research technician experienced with live insects, insect reproductive systems, and processing insect cells to optimize and perform quality control of cell counts using automatic cell counting software. This individual must have at least two years of research experience with live insects and must have prior experience with cell counting software and data optimization.
The day to day duties of this position include the optimization of digital images of insect reproductive cells, data input, and the quality control of data.

- At least two years of research experience working with live insects, insect pathogens, and insect reproductive systems. Experience operating and programming cell counting software. Experience with optimizing and performing data quality control of automatic cell counting data
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education - BS in biology, environmental sciences, or a related field. Two years research experience with live insects and pathogens
Anticipated Hiring Range - $16.50/hr
