Temporary Research Technician

The Research Technician will support the lab's research and operational activities through data analysis, report preparation, plant care, and general research assistance. The position requires a dependable, organized individual who can work independently and collaboratively while contributing to the mission and priorities of the lab.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Organize, review, and analyze research data using appropriate software and established procedures.
• Prepare reports, summaries, tables, figures, and other materials that communicate research findings.
• Maintain accurate and complete research records, files, and documentation.
• Assist with routine plant care and maintenance, including watering, monitoring plant health, cleaning work areas, and other activities as assigned.
• Provide organizational support for lab projects and activities.
• Complete additional duties that support the lab's mission, research objectives, and day-to-day operations.
• Follow all applicable laboratory, greenhouse, workplace safety, and university procedures.

Requirements and Preferences:

Work Schedule - 10/hrs per week

Minimum Experience/Education
- Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties

Department Required Skills
- Experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing research or laboratory data Ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments and meeting deadlines

Required License or Certification
- Valid driver's license

Valid NC Driver's License required? - Yes

Commercial Driver's License Required? - No

Anticipated Hiring Range - $17/hr
