Position: Senior Associate Research Scientist I

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Senior Associate Research Scientist I for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Research Triangle Park, NC. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Title: Senior Associate Research Scientist I
Location: Research Triangle Park, NC – Onsite
Pay Rate: $35/hr
Duration: 1 month

Job Description
  • Perform analytical testing to support bioanalytical development and process characterization projects in a cGXP laboratory environment.

  • Execute analytical assays including Karl Fischer moisture analysis, coagulation assays, enzymatic assays, and immunoassays.

  • Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation such as coulometric titrators, coagulation analyzers, immunonephelometers, and plate readers.

  • Perform accurate pipetting using volumetric, positive displacement, and reverse pipetting techniques.

  • Document laboratory activities in research notebooks and LIMS systems.

  • Evaluate aberrant analytical results and support investigations and problem-solving activities.

  • Apply cGXP requirements and applicable regulatory guidance to laboratory testing, method validation, and CMC development activities.

Education
  • Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Toxicology, or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Toxicology, or a related field with 3–4 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills
  • Hands‑on analytical testing in a cGXP/GxP laboratory environment
    .

  • Karl Fischer moisture analysis.

  • Coagulation, enzymatic, and immunoassays.

  • Experience with coulometric titrators, coagulation analyzers, immunonephelometers, or plate readers.

  • Volumetric, positive displacement, and reverse pipetting techniques.

  • LIMS and laboratory documentation.

  • Understanding of analytical test methods and laboratory investigations.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with analytical method validation.

  • Knowledge of CMC development and applicable regulatory guidance.

  • Experience supporting process characterization projects.
