Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $39.47 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed within this vacancy announcement will be used only as management preferences and will be used to screen for the most qualified pool of applicants.

This position will:
* Be focused on new and updated methods for pathogens associated with the impacts of hurricanes
* Support the Lead Public Health Scientist and will help oversee project timelines and aid in validation/verification
* Aid in implementation of novel modern assays and workflows
* Aid in integration of instrument platforms focused on scalability of existing methods across the laboratory
* Aid in training of existing staff on novel methods and workflows
* * This position would also participate in surge testing should the need arise

Education and Experience
