Position Summary
Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes and organization? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members by following recipes, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available for their families. A fast‑paced environment requires juggling tasks, including assisting members with bakery orders. The bakery team finds the work rewarding and values teamwork, ensuring happy, satisfied members.
WhatYou'll Do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team, communicate effectively, and adapt to business needs by working in other areas as needed.
- Be an Expert: Prepare bakery department merchandise according to daily production needs, operate baking equipment, follow recipes, wrap, label, and store merchandise in compliance with food safety, sanitation, cold‑chain, and inventory management standards; maintain, sanitize, and operate equipment.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to improve sales, enhance the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology for real‑time decisions on production, ordering, training, and quality.
- Be an Owner: Ensure operational excellence, maintain work area, uphold quality and date‑control standards, secure fragile merchandise, eliminate waste, assist members with purchasing, and ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department, model high‑quality service and products, execute basics at the highest level, and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics, including the Open Door policy.
- Complete work assignments and priorities using data and resources, collaborate with managers and partners, identify priorities and deadlines, communicate progress, recommend improvement opportunities, and adapt to change.

PayHourly rate: $17.00 – $25.00 per hour (actual rate meets or exceeds local minimum wage).
Additional CompensationPremiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
