The Senior Tax Analyst is a vital member of the Tax Department, collaborating closely with the other members of the tax team, accounting teams, and other cross-functional personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate tax and accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Senior Tax Analyst will report to the Tax Director.
Primary Responsibilities:- Responsible for the preparation and review of federal, state income and franchise tax returns and extensions.
- Assists with the preparation of the quarterly/annual provision under ASC 740.
- Calculate quarterly estimate and extension tax payments.
- Assists with researching complex tax topics.
- Drafting technical memos relating to tax positions and planning matters.
- Compiles data to support audits and requests for information from taxing authorities
- Assists with tax technology upgrades and implementations.
- Prepares quarterly fixed asset reconciliations.
- Assist with other projects as they arise.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or Master’s degree preferred
- 3 plusyears of corporate income tax experience
- Proficiency in tax compliance software (One Source preferred)
- Strong knowledge of corporate income tax and GAAP
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
