The LGFS Business Development Manager (BDM) is a customer-facing sales role responsible for driving financing strategy, originating opportunities, and executing funding solutions in partnership with Lenovo sales, Partners and external finance partners (LFS).

This position supports Lenovo Global Financial Services (LGFS) customers and sales teams across the Northeast United States. To effectively engage with customers, partners, and Lenovo account teams within the territory, we are seeking candidates located in or near New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Opportunity Development Account Engagement
  • Identify, qualify, and develop financing opportunities early in the sales cycle to drive attach and deal acceleration
  • Engage in high-touch, opportunity-led pursuits, particularly for complex or competitive deals
  • Ensure LGFS visibility and alignment across all relevant opportunities
  • Financing Solution Strategy
  • Articulate LGFS value proposition and position financing as a strategic enabler for Lenovo solutions
  • Lead financial qualification (budget, procurement practices, lifecycle strategy, asset utilization)
  • Design and present tailored leasing / consumption solutions, including pricing structure, payment flexibility, and end-of-term options
  • Deal Structuring Execution
  • Create lease pricing, quotations, and commercial terms aligned to customer requirements
  • Drive deal progression from qualification through negotiation and close
  • Coordinate with credit, legal, and treasury to ensure risk mitigation and approvals
  • Lead or support customer and partner negotiations
  • LFS Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as a key interface between Lenovo and LFS for deal execution
  • Partner with LFS on proposal strategy, structuring, and customer engagement
  • Collaborate across Lenovo (ISO, SSG, Channel) to ensure aligned execution and deal velocity
  • Pipeline Performance Management
  • Build and maintain a strong, accurate pipeline
  • Provide visibility, forecasting, and updates to stakeholders
  • Drive pipeline progression and funded volume through disciplined cadence
  • Program Execution Enablement
  • Support execution of LGFS programs, promotions, and offerings
  • Participate in internal cadences, customer engagements, and enablement activities
  • Drive awareness and adoption of LGFS solutions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in financial services sales experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience leading financing solutions for enterprise technology acquisitions, infrastructure modernization, digital transformation initiatives, and technology refresh programs.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing financing strategies for enterprise technology solutions.

    Strong understanding of technology refresh cycles, lifecycle management, asset utilization, and consumption-based financing models.
