This Regional Sales Engineer role offers the independence of managing your own territory, backed by a company with established supplier relationships, technical support staff, and 40+ years of infrastructure already in place. Travel stays local, with minimal to no overnight trips.
Candidates should have experience selling industrial automation equipment and want ownership of a sales territory without building the supporting systems from scratch.
Must live in: The Triangle, Greenville or neighboring city within the NC territory. There are 27 counties from the Outer Banks to Durham/Chapel Hill in this open territory. Territory is established with lots of growth potential.

For more than 40 years, they've helped customers across the region increase efficiency and productivity through automation solutions. Headquartered in the Southeast, the company employs a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff who work directly with customers in the region.
The OpportunityThis sales role combines the independence of managing your own territory with the structure and support of an established team.
- Local territory. All accounts are within a reasonable driving distance, so overnight travel is minimal to none.
- Established infrastructure. The company has deep roots, strong supplier relationships, and existing systems in place to support your sales efforts.
- Dedicated sales support. Each salesperson has at least two internal employees supporting them, handling order intake, technical support, design of small systems, and product research.
Candidates should have experience selling some or all of the following:
- Industrial Controls
- PLCs and HMIs
- Machine Vision and Barcode Identification
- Robotics
- Motion Control and Motors
- Framing and Machine Safety
- Pneumatics and Vacuum Systems
- Hydraulics
- Mechanical Components and Actuators
- Sensors
- Material Handling
- Industrial Networking
Experience across multiple categories is preferred; expertise in every category is not required.
Qualifications- Self-directed, with experience managing an independent sales territory
- Background in technical or industrial sales, ideally in automation, controls, or related equipment
- Strong relationship-building skills and a track record of long-term account growth
- Comfortable working within an established company's systems and supplier network rather than building processes from scratch
