Other Work/ResponsibilitiesConducting research, literature review, and information synthesis related to travel demand modeling. Evaluating and comparing big data providers and big data products for use in travel demand modeling. Documenting and presenting methods, models, and results to technical staff and partner agencies. Contributing to the design and implementation of systems models related to transportation, land use, and regional planning. Meeting regularly and as needed with program staff.
MinimumExperience/Education
Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties.
Department Required SkillsAcademic or professional experience with transportation modeling and/or systems modeling more broadly. Experience with literature review and information synthesis in a research context.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education- Academic or professional experience with transportation planning.
- Familiarity with core concepts in travel demand modeling.
- Familiarity with GIS, geospatial data, and geospatial methods.
- Experience working with big data.
- Basic familiarity with R and/or Python.
- Experience with statistical, machine learning, and other AI methods.
