Responsibilities
  • Assist research scientists with ongoing field projects on local and state water bodies.
  • Daily travel and field work in all weather conditions.
  • Support general laboratory-based activities.
  • Maintain field equipment, calibrate sensors, and keep detailed logs.
  • Other laboratory and field duties as directed by supervisor.
Work Schedule

10-15 hours per week between 9am-6pm Monday-Friday, with flexibility as needed.

Compensation

$15 per hour

Requirements
  • Combination of training and experience required to perform the duties.
  • Proficiency in data collection.
  • Experience with equipment calibration using water quality sondes, light meters, and current meters.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a routine basis.
  • Valid driver's license required; valid NC driver's license required.
