Security Officer - Flex Neighborhood Patrol in Raleigh, NC

- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at a government location following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
- Monitor entry points and common areas, observe for unusual conditions, and report maintenance hazards and/or suspicious activity through the established chain of communication.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving, including assisting with evacuations, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and coordinating with local public service responders as needed.
- Complete shift documentation such as activity logs, incident reports, and patrol records using site procedures and approved reporting systems.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
