Main Responsibilities
As a Site Security Officer, you will be required to provide a visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with the local authorities.
- Carry out site duties in line with company policies and procedures
- Conduct internal and external site patrols including perimeter and fire doors check
- Prevent any unauthorized access to/within perimeters and buildings; liaise with the technical team daily to report any alarms, CCTV or gate issues on sites
- Communicate with departmental heads in the event of issues to property and/or assets
- Respond to all incidents or emergencies onsite
- Manage site gatehouse duties
- Oversee site keys and incident report management
- Ensure safety of people on site by reporting any health and safety breaches found
- Ensure that access/egress duties are actioned in line with company policies
- Always adhere to company training and processes in the pursuit of duties
- Provide excellent customer service skills, remaining courteous and professional
- Undertake refresher and developmental training as required
- Be computer literate in Microsoft Office and bespoke systems
- Have excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be customer service orientated, demonstrating professionalism and compassion
- Work under pressure
- Be a team player and able to work on own initiative
- Show flexibility and adapt to new requests outside the core role on request
- Respond to all customer requests in a timely manner
Location: Durham
Hours: 40 hours 5 minutes
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday: 23:59 – 08:00
Hourly Rate: £13.45

The PersonTo be an effective Security Officer, you will need to be a confident communicator, providing detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity. You will need to be welcoming and patient with customers, and be able to handle conflict in a professional manner.
Required Experience and QualificationYou must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role. Previous experience of working in a retail security role is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.
