Commerical Overhead Door Technician

Monday-Friday, with potential for on-call and overtime.

Employment type:

Full‑time, Permanent.

Pay rate: $30–$33 per hour.

Join a trusted name in the overhead door industry as a Commercial Technician. This hands‑on role involves diagnosing, servicing, and installing a variety of commercial door systems and related equipment. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, safety‑focused, and customer‑service oriented.

• Diagnose and repair overhead garage doors and related equipment.
• Coordinate with scheduling team to identify parts and resolve issues.
• Safely travel between customer sites.
• Evaluate job requirements and perform installations or service.
• Work on a range of products including commercial garage door operators, hinges, door sections, rolling steel, torsion springs, dock equipment, and more.

• Experience with commercial overhead door installation and repair.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safety mindset.
• Certifications (e.g., OSSA Fall Protection, First Aid) are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and technical documents.
• Welding and electrical experience preferred.
• Comfortable working from ladders and in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, kneeling, etc.).
• Must pass drug screening.
• Able to work independently or as part of a crew.
• Excellent communication and professionalism.
