Rigging Foreman; RAL AMG PD

We perform installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast.

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks a Rigging Foreman for a project in Apex, NC.

Hired candidates will be considered for benefits/paid time off after 3 months.

• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in erecting and operating machines to hoist and convey machinery and equipment.
• Specifies locations for movement and erection of derricks, hoists, and cranes, using knowledge of various methods of sliding and lifting equipment.
• Directs workers engaged in splicing ropes and metal cables to form hoisting slings.
• Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for the area of supervision.
• Maintains time records.
• Interprets company policies to workers, and enforces safety regulations.
• Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedules, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.
• Studies schedules and estimates worker‑hour requirements for completion of jobs.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems.
• Coordinates the movement of equipment and material according to visual signals and directions.
• Detects, recognizes, and responds to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Performs frequent safety inspections of work area, equipment, tools, and employees to ensure compliance with regulations and the company’s safety program.
• Requires appropriate journeyman experience.
• Requires regular attendance.
• Significant travel may be required.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Rigger Journey level minimum of 4+ years of experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.

• Must be able to use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.
• Conditions include work in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather.
• Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, and confined spaces.
• Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform essential functions.
• Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
• Must be capable of standing for long periods, bending consistently, working in confined spaces, on ladders, personnel lifts, workboats, and awkward positions.
