Role Overview
Senior Field Technicians serve as senior technical resources and project leads responsible for executing and commissioning complex AV, automation, and networked systems. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, independent decision-making, and leadership of installation teams on most projects.
Core Responsibilities- Independently deliver and support integrated AV, networking, security, and low-voltage solutions while mentoring junior technicians and maintaining quality standards.
- Lead medium-to-large installation projects.
- Install and configure advanced AV, automation, and security systems.
- Deploy managed networks and advanced audio systems.
- Perform system calibration (audio and video).
- Troubleshoot complex system, network, and integration issues.
- Train clients on system operation and best practices.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and as-built records.
- Train and mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 Technicians.
- Strong understanding of AV system architecture and workflows.
- Advanced networking and automation competency.
- Ability to manage jobsite workflow and coordinate with other trades.
- All Tier 2 certifications:
Control4 Associate Installer, Lutron RA2 (or equivalent). - Control4 Automation Programmer.
- PCNA (or equivalent networking certification).
- Lutron RA3 with lighting competency.
