RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Capabilities of welding in different environments where mechanical piping installation is performed.
  • Must be capable of welding various positions requiring safety oriented procedures.
  • Must be knowledgeable of welding equipment and possess welding attire.
  • Capable of performing 100% weld quality in all positions.
  • Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products.
  • Install and repair various equipment and components.
  • Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
  • Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
  • Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.
  • All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields.
  • Familiarity with welding tools and procedures.
  • Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics.
  • All welders under the trade of piping are required to pass certifications tests on;
    Carbon Steel Schedule 40 Pipe, open root joint, and in the 6G, fixed position. Welds performed must meet ASME Sec IX Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements.
  • The process most frequently used in the field applications is Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
  • Requires working in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.
  • Courses in construction safety are a requirement.
  • All welders under the trade of piping are required to pass certifications tests on;
    Carbon Steel Schedule 40 Pipe, open root joint, and in the 6G, fixed position.
  • Ability to handle physical workload.
EDUCATION
  • Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.
  • This Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of Pipe Welding experience.
