Presidio is seeking an on-site AV Integration Technician located in Charlotte, NC (Whitehall Park). The role involves installation of displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems, and teleconferencing systems. The position requires 85% regional travel and regular client site visits.
Travel RequirementsYou will be expected to travel up to client sites on a daily basis, including out-of-town/overnight trips weekly (up to 75%‑85% of the time).
Responsibilities- On‑site installation of displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems, and teleconferencing systems under guidance.
- Installation, testing, and termination of low‑voltage cabling for AV implementations.
- Follow instructions from Lead Technician and Project Managers to complete AV installation.
- Complete basic rack wiring.
- Learn basics of operating collaboration platforms; pursue AV certifications such as CTS for growth.
- Assist with inventory, staging, and testing of AV and network hardware before installation.
- Communicate with other trades and handle basic customer communication onsite.
- Travel to various job sites as required.
- High School Diploma/GED or bachelor's degree and/or military experience.
- 3+ years of experience in low‑voltage or AV industry.
- Ability to work on a ladder, lift, push/pull 50 pounds or more, stand for long periods, bend, kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods.
- Audio Video experience is desired.
- Certificates such as CTS, Extron, Avixa, Shure, Biamp, Crestron, etc.
- 1–5 years of AV integration experience.
