SMART IT People has a full-time salaried position opportunity for an Installation Project Manager / Trainer with a reputable Commercial HVAC company in Raleigh, NC. The position is responsible for overseeing the installation of assigned Commercial HVAC projects, delegating tasks, ensuring on time and accurate completion in accordance with blueprints or written instructions. This position ensures the installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted

scope.

Must have skills:

  • 5+ years of Commercial HVAC installation experience
  • 3+ years managing a team of installers
  • Working knowledge of NC Mechanical, Electrical and Gas Code
  • Compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Knowledge of building codes
  • Attend weekly Ops Meetings to review Priority Report for current, ongoing, and new installation jobs.
  • Document and follow up on action items and decisions from meetings.
  • Provide guidance to Estimator on Bid estimating, as required.
  • Meet with Salesperson and/or Estimator for job turnovers.
  • Serve as liaison between Salesperson and/or Estimator and Mechanics when questions arise on jobs.
  • Serve as liaison for GCs on ongoing projects.
  • Provide guidance, feedback and training to installation team members on technical skills, company processes and procedures, and safety rules and practices.
  • Assist mechanics with major, unusual, or difficult assignments and/or problems.
  • Conduct quality-control review of completed work performed to ensure work is performed in accordance with company practices and processes, expected workmanship, and efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate job information to proper team members to allow for effective planning and execution of the project requirements.
  • Ensure the installation team submits job change orders for all projects assigned and inform appropriate parties of changes.
  • Working knowledge of NC Mechanical, Electrical and Gas code.
  • Meet Inspectors and resolve items from failed inspections, as needed.
  • Ensure the overall success of the department and provide feedback on scheduled installations.
  • Reinforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.
  • Establish effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and company team members.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with OSHA regulations.
  • Support and promote company’s Culture, Mission, and Core Values.
