Join Our Team
We're seeking an experienced Mobile Refuse Truck Technician to support our fleet across multiple North Carolina locations. This position is ideal for a self-motivated technician who enjoys variety, works well independently, and takes pride in keeping equipment operating safely and reliably.
As a Mobile Technician, you'll be assigned a fully equipped company service truck and dispatched to our operating locations to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and emergency roadside breakdown service.
Service AreaTravel throughout our North Carolina operations, including:
- Asheboro
- Winston-Salem
- Raleigh/Durham
- Sanford
- Fayetteville
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on refuse trucks and related equipment.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Complete brake, suspension, steering, and wheel-end repairs.
- Perform body and chassis diagnostics and repairs.
- Respond to roadside breakdowns and emergency service calls.
- Accurately document inspections, repairs, and parts usage using the company's fleet maintenance software.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked company service truck.
- Work safely while following all company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Full set of professional mechanic's tools required.
- Strong knowledge of diesel truck repair and diagnostics.
- Experience with:
- Electrical diagnostics and repair
- Hydraulic systems
- Pneumatic systems
- Brake systems
- Wheel-end repairs
- Engine diagnostics
- Preventative maintenance
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Clean driving record required.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Previous experience working on refuse trucks or heavy-duty equipment
- Competitive hourly pay: $30–$40 per hour
