Job Title

Responsibilities:

- Capabilities of welding in different environments where mechanical piping installation is performed.

- Must be capable of welding various positions requiring safety oriented procedures.

- Must be knowledgeable of welding equipment and possess welding attire.

- Capable of performing 100% weld quality in all positions.

- Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products.

- Install and repair various equipment and components.

- Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.

- Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.

- Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.

- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields.

- Familiarity with welding tools and procedures.

- Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics.

- All welders under the trade of piping are required to pass certifications tests on;
Carbon Steel Schedule 40 Pipe, open root joint, and in the 6G, fixed position. Welds performed must meet ASME Sec IX Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements.

- The process most frequently used in the field applications is Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).

- Requires working in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.

- Courses in construction safety are a requirement.

- All welders under the trade of piping are required to pass certifications tests on;
Carbon Steel Schedule 40 Pipe, open root joint, and in the 6G, fixed position.

- Ability to handle physical workload.

Education:

- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent.

- This Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of Pipe Welding experience.

Job Requirements /Special

Skills:

- Requires working in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.
