Securitas Technology is seeking an Apprentice Service Technician to support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of integrated electronic security and life safety systems for commercial and enterprise clients. Working under guidance of senior technicians, you will assist with installing video surveillance, access control, and intrusion systems, performing basic diagnostics, repairing or replacing components, and verifying system functionality. You will document work, follow strict safety and quality standards, and deliver excellent customer service while learning advanced technologies and progressing toward independent field responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of electronic security and life safety systems
- Support troubleshooting and repair of video, access control, and intrusion systems
- Perform basic diagnostics and replace or repair components as directed
- Test and verify system performance to meet specifications and codes
- Document work performed, materials used, and service outcomes
- Follow safety, security, and quality procedures on all job sites
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in good condition
- Provide professional, customer-focused on-site service
- Collaborate with senior technicians and project teams on service tasks
- Participate in training to build technical skills and certifications
Required Skills
- Low-voltage installation
- Basic electrical troubleshooting
