In this role, you'll be part of the team that keeps campus facilities running smoothly, safely, and efficiently.You'll apply your mechanical and insulation skills to maintain, repair, and improve vital building systems from plumbing and HVAC to steam, air, and gas infrastructure. Key responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform repairs on domestic water, chilled water, hot water, steam pipe, and ductwork insulation
- Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing and related systems, including air, gas, water, and waste disposal systems
- Maintain, repair, and install plumbing systems and associated fixtures/equipment, including lab drainage, sinks, toilets, valves, and piping
- Cut, thread, assemble, and install piping; caulk joints, connect valves, test and inspect installations for leaks or defects
- Install and maintain gas, water, and sanitary fixtures with appropriate hangers, supports, and foundations
- Diagnose and repair a wide variety of plumbing and mechanical issues, including complex or non-standard repairs
- Support maintenance and troubleshooting of secondary electrical systems (up to 600 VAC ), including conduit, breakers, switches, panels, motors, and control circuits
- Assist with HVAC
-related preventive maintenance and repairs, such as replacing temperature controls, thermostats, humidity sensors, and regulators - Troubleshoot and repair building steam systems and equipment, including boilers, pumps,…
