Job Overview
Electrician – Housing‑Facilities Administration – Raleigh, NC. Salary range $56,000 to $64,000.
Work schedule:
Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm, occasional overtime.
- Construct, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in residence halls, apartments, and fraternity/sorority houses.
- Provide expedient maintenance services to students residing in campus housing.
- Climb ladders, lift and set heavy equipment, pull heavy rolls of wire, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
- Read and work from blueprints and sketches.
- Locate and correct defects in electrical systems and equipment.
- Train apprentices in the electrical trade.
- High school diploma or equivalency, or demonstrated possession of necessary competencies.
- Considerable knowledge of the standard practices and methods of the electrical trade.
- Skill in the use and care of trade tools.
- Ability to locate and correct defects in electrical systems and equipment.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints and sketches.
- Ability to train apprentices in the electrical trade.
- Valid driver’s license (NC) within 60 days of hire.
- Commercial driver’s license not required.
- Valid NC Driver’s License required.
