Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, experienced Electrical Service Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining residential and light commercial electrical systems. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, safety-conscious, and committed to providing outstanding customer service while delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues quickly and accurately.
- Perform repairs, installations, and upgrades on residential and light commercial electrical systems.
- Install and replace electrical panels, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, and other electrical equipment.
- Perform service upgrades, rewiring, surge protection, and generator connections.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
- Communicate clearly with customers about findings, recommendations, and completed work.
- Maintain accurate job documentation and service reports.
- Keep company vehicle, tools, and work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety procedures and standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of residential or commercial electrical service experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors.
- Journeyman Electrician license preferred but not required, depending on state requirements.
