Field Service Technician - ASRS / Industrial Automation

We’re looking for a hands‑on Field Service Technician to join a growing service team supporting automated equipment across customer sites throughout the Midwest, Pittsburgh, Northeast and Carolinas.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong electrical and mechanical maintenance background who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, working directly with customers and travelling to different sites.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), saws and other industrial machinery
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems ranging from 24V–480V
  • Work with motors, drives, HMIs, PLCs, sensors and electrical components
  • Inspect, repair and replace mechanical and hydraulic components including chains, bearings, shafts, hoses, valves, pumps and motors
  • Travel to customer sites to carry out planned maintenance, repairs and system support
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience as a Maintenance Technician, Field Service Technician or similar
  • Industrial machinery experience – ASRS or automated equipment experience is highly desirable
  • Experience with industrial electrical systems and PLCs
  • Good mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA and LOTO safety procedures
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools and material handling equipment
  • Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused approach
  • Willingness to travel regularly

$30–$38/hour, with potential flexibility depending on location and ASRS crane experience

1.5x overtime for all hours over 40

Travel time paid at standard hourly rate

Company credit card covering hotels, food and expenses

Typical working weeks range from 40–65 hours, with regular regional travel. Most trips are Monday–Friday, with some Tuesday–Saturday and occasional weekend requirements depending on maintenance and installation projects.
