We are actively recruiting in North Carolina to join our Intensive Support Social Work Team (ISSWT). This team will partner with counties, and the Allies4
Outcomes Consultant Team to deliver results in addressing case needs across child welfare program areas.
As a member of the Intensive Support Social Work Team (ISSWT), you’ll engage in direct practice, including:
- Addressing backlog cases in assessments
- Conducting case initiations
- Supporting Family In‑Home Services and Permanency Planning
- Participating in after‑hours and weekend on‑call rotations
- Providing practice aligned with state law and policy
- Eventually, carrying cases in partnership with counties

Required Competencies- Must have at least five years of experience as a Child Protective Services worker or Supervisor in NC, with forensic training preferred.
- Deep knowledge of NC policy, practice, continuous quality improvement practices, and engagement of families and children.
- Use technology and work independently while ensuring company values and customer service philosophy are communicated with our county clients.
- Ability to manage change for yourself (flexible, creative, emotionally regulated), assist others in managing change, and support organizational change.
- Be willing to travel across NC and be flexible in work hours to meet the needs of the County.

Assessment and Treatment Social Worker(adapted from NC DHHS OSHR Classification Specs)
DescriptionThis position will assess initial reports of abuse, neglect, and dependency in order to protect the child in accordance with the General Statutes of the State of North Carolina. The caseworker may also have duties including performing risk assessments, developing a service plan, frequent home visits and contacts to provide and document services, arranging and coordinating support services, information/referral, quarterly assessment to document/renew goals, and other case management services that are definable, reasonable efforts to protect the child in the home.
Will participate in the rotation of on‑call duties with other social workers in the Child Welfare units.
Social Worker Investigative/Assessment and Treatment in the Investigations Team will receive alleged reports of abuse, neglect and/or dependency and determine; within legally mandated time frames by quick assessment of the degree of risks to potential victim children by appropriate investigative techniques; if said reports are unfounded and should be unsubstantiated or found to not be in need of services or have risen to the level of statutory definitions of such offenses in GS 7B‑101 and require substantiation or a finding of in need of services and involuntary intervention to ensure the safety of victim children.
Workers may help the County with backlog (cases over mandated time frames in assessments), completing backlog cases in assessment, initiations, carrying cases, after‑hours on‑call, performing social work aligned with law and policy, and modeling, mentoring, coaching, and training new social workers.
