** Description of Work
** SALARY RANGE: $48,000.00 - $52,431.00
*** This position is time-limited, grant funded, full-time.**
* ** Funding for this position will end on June 30, 2027.
** The Office of District Court, Judicial District 5, is seeking a qualified individual to work closely with the clinical director and other members of the team to ensure participants have attainable treatment plans and assist them to be compliant. Receive referrals from the Courts, Defense Attorneys, and Prosecuting attorneys; discuss expectations with clients and family members; solicit input from family members, prior treatment vendors, Veterans' Administration, and program officials;
compile a written report of findings including recommendations; evaluate the information and make decisions within established policies and standards; provide crisis intervention services; maintain case files, intakes and contact logs as well as the offender's statistical database accurately and in a timely manner; keep current on applicable laws and regulations, as well as clinical developments within a professional area of knowledge;
maintain professional levels of communication with internal and external contacts.

** Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Interview, screen, and gather demographic information on offenders whose charges qualify for the treatment of court program.
* Interview court participants of the Veterans Treatment Court and complete forms.
* Briefly explain treatment court programs to interested offenders.
* Notify the District Attorney's Office or Defense Attorney's Office of offenders who meet basic eligibility requirements.
* Assist participants with life skills such as time management, job hunting, and budgeting.
* Research employment and community service opportunities for participants.
* Maintain paper and electronic files on participants.
* Build and maintain BIO on all veterans.
* Attend all closed session meetings and court sessions.
This position reports to the Veterans Treatment Court Director. Work hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday. ## Knowledge,

** substance abuse, addictions, mental illnesses, and casework practices; community treatment providers and services; treatment modalities; social and psychological issues regarding drug use and addictions; and drug and alcohol drug testing methods and notification process.
** Skills in:
** effectively dealing with substance abuse/mental health offender's behavior; documenting behaviors and maintaining accurate records; oral and written communication; and keeping within current standards and practices of the social work profession.
** Ability to:
** solve problems analytically; maintain records, files and reports; coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; maintain cooperative working relationships with court staff and individual outside the judicial branch; develop and foster a spirit of teamwork to improve the quality of work team and committees; and bring people from different agencies together to accomplish the goals of the program.##
