Administrative Specialist I (S)

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest, most complex agencies in the state, and has approximately 17,000 employees. It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.

The primary purpose of this position is to locate non-custodial parents through evaluation of information received on records obtained from the various states, internet resources and state and federal databases. The position provides assistance to state, local staff, other states, and other NC DSS departments in locating non-custodial parents for the establishment and/or enforcement of child support orders. This position is assigned to the State Parent Locate Service unit.

Salary Range: $39,244 - $68,679

Recruitment Range: $39,244 - $41,206
