Description of WorkThis temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services and is located at 141 Storage Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. It will provide eligibility evaluations for children referred to the NC Infant‑Toddler Program and serve children from birth to three years old in the Rocky Mount Children’s Developmental Services Agency (CDSA) catchment area.
Temporary Employment NotesThis is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Note:
Permanent and time‑limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time‑limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time. Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. OSHR supports the Governor’s Job Ready initiative and seeks to expand a temporary’s skill set to enhance their qualifications for State government and private sector jobs.
Order Hourly Rate of Pay
$34.35 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
Management Preferences- Considerable knowledge of a wide range of behavior and psychosocial problems and their diagnosis and treatment.
- Considerable knowledge of family and group dynamics and a range of intervention techniques, as well as principles of casework and training.
- Considerable knowledge of treatment planning.
- Considerable knowledge of governmental and private organizations, resources in the community, laws, regulations, and policies which govern the program.
- Thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices, and their application to complex casework, group work, and community problems.
Master’s degree from an appropriately accredited school of social work. Licensure is required from NC SW Certification and Licensure Board. Must hold a Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in North Carolina.
