Frontend Software Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Frontend Engineer for a leading technology organization in the Raleigh, NC area. The Frontend Engineer will focus on building responsive, scalable user interfaces using React and Type Script, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality web applications. This role is a 6‑month contract (with potential to extend)
hybrid onsite in Raleigh, NC (3 days/week). Must be eligible to work in the United States.

• Develop and maintain responsive web interfaces using React, Type Script, and modern styling approaches
• Build reusable components and manage application state across complex user flows
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and ensure secure data handling
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
• Optimize frontend performance and scalability through code reviews and refactoring
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences
• Ensure accessibility and internationalization standards are met across the application

• 3+ years of experience in frontend development using modern JavaScript frameworks
• 2+ years of experience with React and React Hooks
• 2+ years of experience with Type Script and ES6+ features
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles, CSS, and modern styling libraries
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and managing authentication flows
• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress
• Excellent problem‑solving and collaboration skills

• $100,000- $108,000 annually
