Senior Software Engineer- Platform Integrations

Job Description

The Senior Software Engineer will be a hands‑on contributor on the Platform Integrations team, responsible for building and maintaining the integration backbone of the Certent Equity Management (CEM) platform.

This platform handles the movement of financial data across:

• File-based integrations
• REST APIs
• Broker interfaces
• Partner systems

This role involves modernizing legacy systems (including Boomi and older .NET services) into scalable, maintainable .NET-based services, while ensuring high reliability and production stability.

• Design, build, and deliver new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
• Write clean, production‑quality code across:
  • C# / .NET
  • Oracle SQL / PL/SQL
  • REST APIs
  • File processing pipelines
• Develop file-based integrations (CSV, fixed‑width files, SFTP, PGP encryption)
• Build and maintain API endpoints and background processing systems
• Perform database updates, query optimization, and stored procedure development
• Participate in Agile processes (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives)

• Actively use AI tools (Git Hub Copilot, Claude, Devin, etc.) in daily development
• Leverage AI to improve speed, test coverage, and code quality
• Contribute to a culture of AI‑driven engineering practices
• Stay current with emerging AI development tools and share best practices

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure high‑quality code
• Participate in code reviews and maintain strong coding standards
• Follow established architecture and engineering patterns
• Build observability into systems (logging, monitoring, alerts)
• Ensure stability across multi‑client production environments

• Work closely with engineers, QA, and product teams
• Communicate risks, blockers, and technical challenges proactively
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development
• Assist with client‑facing discussions when needed

• 6+ years of software engineering experience (enterprise SaaS preferred)
• Strong expertise in C# and .NET
• Experience with Oracle databases (SQL, PL/SQL)
• Experience with file‑based integrations (CSV, SFTP, PGP, etc.)
• Strong experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Hands‑on experience using AI development tools in workflow
• Experience with background processing / job queues
• Agile/Scrum experience
• Git‑based development experience
• Strong communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• Azure experience (Blob Storage, Service Bus, etc.)
• Familiarity with Boomi or similar iPaaS tools
• Experience in financial services or equity management systems
• Experience with SOAP/WCF or API modernization
• Background job tooling (e.g., Hangfire)
• Knowledge of design patterns (factory, plugin architectures)
• Docker / containerization experience
• CI/CD (Git Hub Actions preferred)
• Security best practices (API auth, secrets management, encryption)
• Experience with multi‑tenant architectures
