Position OverviewThe Business Intelligence / PEX Report Developer will work with fund accounting professionals and technology organizations to build, maintain, and complete customized reporting statements. This role requires expertise in Qlik View and Qlik Sense dashboard design, NPrinting report development, and complex data modeling to deliver mission-critical financial reporting solutions for our private equity clients.
Key Responsibilities- Use Qlik View, Qlik Sense and NPrinting technologies to create and provide business areas with new reporting and dashboard applications, enabling better decision making.
- Work with stakeholders, business users and technical teams to identify use cases; organize requirement gathering sessions, capture and translate business requirements into system & functional requirements.
- Collaborate with business leads to develop prototypes and Proof of Concepts.
- Develop and conduct analysis on key business metrics and answer ongoing ad‑hoc questions.
- Install, configure & maintain Qlik View and Qlik Sense environments (Qlik View Server, Qlik Sense Server, Publisher, NPrinting).
- Create and maintain complex Qlik View and Qlik Sense applications using advanced functions as needed (set analysis, section access, alternate states, loop and reduce, Qlik Sense Mashups, Sheets, etc.).
- Define and extract data from a variety of data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, Excel Files, Hive, etc.), architecting data structures and processes to standardize, distribute and provide access to information.
- Work with the Business Intelligence Architect, IT Operations, and Information Security on designing and implementing the appropriate security model.
- Mentor and train other Data Services team members and power users on best practices: QVD generation, publishing, developing Qlik View and Qlik Sense applications, data visualization and NPrinting reports.
- Implement procedures around migration, scheduling and distribution of applications.
- Help design support procedures and train IT support on best practices; provide Level 3 end‑user support for all Qlik View and Qlik Sense related issues.
- Follow the SDLC methodology in all development activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of experience using Qlik View version 11 or higher.
- Qlik View and Qlik Sense Dashboard Design & Development.
- Good knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with large data sets and complex data models involving more than 10 tables.
- Integrating data from multiple data sources into a Qlik View Data Model (Sage Intacct, SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, API extensions, etc.).
- Use of complex Qlik View functions and developing the most optimal scripts for a given solution.
- Optimization of dimensional data model for performance.
- Extensive experience across all stages of the Qlik View and Qlik Sense lifecycle (sourcing data, QVD generation, dashboard design, app development).
- Experience with complex Qlik View and Qlik Sense functions: set analysis, alternate states, advanced scripting, Mashups, Sheets, etc.
- Experience with section access and implementing data level security.
- Distributed Qlik View applications and reports using Publisher and NPrinting.
- Knowledge of Qlik View and Qlik Sense distributed architecture and experience with administering and governing Qlik View and Qlik Sense environments.
- Knowledge of SDLC and familiarity with Agile software development concepts.
- Prior experience with process improvement is a plus.
- Ability to own initiatives and work in a matrix-based organization.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar discipline.
The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $145,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package.
Work ArrangementAll applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. All U.S. employees are required to work a hybrid schedule, comprising one (1) to four (4) days on‑site per week as needed.
