accel bi corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Programmer Analyst to join our team for a full-time W2 opportunity supporting a major government modernization initiative in Raleigh, North Carolina
.

This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to be local to North Carolina
. Candidates must be able to report onsite within one hour of notification when required.

• Employment Type: Full-Time W2 with accel bi corporation
• Compensation: $80,000 – $85,000 annual gross salary

• Analyze complex legacy applications and business requirements.
• Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain enterprise mainframe applications.
• Perform analysis and modifications to existing COBOL/CICS applications.
• Expose legacy CICS and COBOL applications as web services.
• Create technical documentation and support project deliverables.
• Perform quality assurance, debugging, troubleshooting, and implementation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical staff.
• Estimate effort and assess compatibility with enterprise systems.

• 10+ years of experience as a Programmer Analyst in a corporate or government environment.
• Strong experience with:
• COBOL
• CICS
• DB2
• JCL
• VSAM
• TSO/MVS
• ENDEVOR
• SQL
• CA DB2 Tools
• Minimum 5 years of experience exposing COBOL/CICS applications as Web Services using CICS Transaction Server (CTS) and/or CICS Transaction Gateway (CTG).
• Strong background in analysis, design, testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation.
• Experience supporting financial or transactional business applications.
• Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within large cross-functional teams.

• Experience supporting State or Local Government projects.
• Secure Socket Layer (SSL) implementation experience.
• Experience with C# and modern .NET applications.
• DMV or Motor Vehicle application experience is highly desirable.
• Candidates must currently reside in North Carolina.
• Candidates must be available to report onsite within one hour when requested.
