NetApp Consultant; S3 Storage Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Net App Consultant / S3 Storage Engineer with deep expertise in object storage platforms, including AWS S3, Net App Storage GRID, and Dell EMC ECS
.

This is a hybrid role that combines storage engineering with a strong developer mindset
. You will work directly with customer engineering teams to design, optimize, and troubleshoot object storage solutions while also reviewing application code that interacts with S3-based systems.

• Design, deploy, and support scalable S3-compatible object storage solutions across AWS S3, Net App Storage GRID, and Dell EMC ECS
• Troubleshoot and optimize S3 performance, integrations, and data flows across hybrid environments
• Partner with customer engineering teams to review and improve application code interacting with S3 storage
• Develop automation and tooling using Python, Go, or similar languages for analytics, monitoring, and lifecycle management
• Recommend and implement storage architecture improvements and migration strategies
• Stay up to date with S3 protocol enhancements, SDK updates, and vendor-specific capabilities
• Support pre‑sales engagements by advising on best‑fit storage solutions for enterprise use cases

• 5+ years of experience with object storage platforms
  , including:
• AWS S3 (SDKs, lifecycle policies, encryption, IAM permissions)
• Dell EMC ECS
• Strong software development background in Python, Java, or Go
• Proven experience performing code reviews and optimizing S3 integrations
• Hands‑on experience with S3 APIs, custom integrations, and performance tuning
• Experience with cloud‑native architectures
  , microservices, or containerized environments
• Strong understanding of storage architectures, networking, and data durability best practices
• Excellent communication skills with a customer‑facing consulting mindset

• Experience with hybrid or multi‑cloud object storage environments
• Prior consulting or customer‑facing experience
• Contributions to open‑source S3 tools or SDKs
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation)
• Knowledge of data compliance and security models (Object Locking, WORM, KMS)
