Overview

Responsibilities
  • 30% Lead and Mentor
    Work closely with Business and IT leaders to define, develop, and implement solutions within the Application Development infrastructure as well as associated integration endpoints. Provide guidance for vendors and other IT areas or business division during project efforts or BAU support. Provide subject‑matter expertise of the supported solution and processes with level 2 support as needed. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • 25% Development and Problem‑Solving
    Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing effective solutions. Conduct root‑cause analysis of problems and implement corrective actions as needed. Experience in Product Development Lifecycle, ideally within Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Helix).
  • 15% Documentation
    Conduct technical reviews of designs, code, and documentation to ensure quality and compliance. Develop and maintain clear and concise technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals. Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all work.
  • 10% Staying Current
    Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • 10% Collaboration
    Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure project success. Serve as technical liaison to software engineers, systems engineers, database administrators, quality assurance, and other IT and business teams. Provide periodic "on‑call" coverage after business hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed to minimize outages and production impacts.
  • 10% Research and Evaluation
    Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve engineering processes and efficiency.
Required Education & Experience

Bachelor’s in software engineering, computer science or information systems. Additional five years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5+ years of direct experience.
  • Proficient and dedicated to writing reliable, testable, maintainable, and performant code.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Python, JSON & XML, HTML

  • Experience with Web Services: REST and/or SOAP API.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Power Query).
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI‑DSS and GDPR.
  • Ability to interact confidently with technical, non‑technical, and management staff.
  • Experience implementing and converting projects with vendors:
    Diebold Nixdorf, Hyosung, CFS Solutions, CV Systems, and Verafin.
  • Experience performing full‑stack programming, code reviews, merges, design reviews.
  • Experience working in large, enterprise‑level programs/projects, preferably in Financial Services.
  • High analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience assessing and managing technology and cyber‑security risks.
  • Ability to drive evolution of technology platforms and development standards.
  • Fluency in English.
Job Environment &

Physical Requirements

Onsite position with expectations to attend meetings and in‑person training. Sitting or standing for prolonged periods. Computer and telephone for prolonged periods. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
