Java AWS Architect

Location – Raleigh, NC Duration – Fulltime Role Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

We are seeking an experienced Java AWS Architect to design, develop, and lead the implementation of cloud-native, scalable, secure, and high-performance applications on AWS. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java technologies, microservices architecture, AWS cloud services, Dev Ops practices and enterprise integration patterns.

15+ years of IT experience with strong expertise in Java/J2EE.
5+ years of AWS solution architecture experience.
Strong hands-on experience with:

Java 8/11/17
Spring Boot
Spring Cloud
REST APIs
Microservices
Hibernate/JPA
Messaging platforms (Kafka, SNS, SQS)
Docker
Kubernetes/EKS
Terraform or Cloud Formation
Jenkins
Git
Maven/Gradle
SQL and No

SQL databases.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Cloud Watch, Splunk, New Relic, or Grafana
Strong proficiency in React, Angular or Vue JS, along with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/Typescript

Roles & Responsibilities:

Hands on Java/AWS – Develop code and also support when situation arises
Define end-to-end application architecture using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices and AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS and SNS
Lead API architecture, integration patterns and microservice design for internal and external customers
Drive cloud-native design decisions, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, Terraform, Git Lab pipelines and Dev Sec Ops practices
Ensure application security, authentication, authorization, encryption and compliance requirements are implemented
Review performance, reliability, observability, monitoring, logging and cost optimization strategies on AWS
Conduct architecture reviews, technical governance and design approvals with AWS and business stakeholders
Design scalable, highly available and resilient solutions that support customer traffic growth and disaster Recovery requirements
Own non-functional requirements including scalability, availability, security, maintainability and operational excellence
Mentor developers and tech leads on architecture standards, coding practices and cloud adoption
Collaborate with customers, product owners, business teams and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
