In-person interview Duration: 12 months Position Overview We are seeking a highly technical Integration / Interface Engineer responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting data integration solutions between internal and external systems and applications. The role will involve real-time, on-demand, batch, and scheduled data interfaces and processing. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with enterprise integration platforms, APIs, ETL processes, cloud and microservices architecture, databases, and containerized application environments.
This position requires excellent organization and the ability to manage multiple technical, business, development, testing, and implementation activities. Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze technical and business requirements for integration and interface solutions.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support integration solutions and APIs.
- Build real-time, batch, scheduled, and on-demand data interfaces between systems.
- Develop and manage ETL processes, data cleansing, data refreshes, and data transformation.
- Design and implement enterprise integration patterns using messaging, APIs, web services, and other integration technologies.
- Develop and support REST and SOAP web services and APIs.
- Work with message queuing, caching, complex data mapping, branching, and parallel processing.
- Support deployment and troubleshooting of containerized applications using Kubernetes.
- Participate in cloud-based integration and microservices architecture initiatives.
- Develop and maintain integration solutions using IBM Integration Bus (IIB), App Connect Enterprise (ACE), Mule Soft, or Boomi.
- Perform technical sizing, scalability, high-availability, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Support application deployment, go-live activities, and post-implementation production support.
- Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, QA teams, architects, and other technical resources.
- Follow CI/CD, Dev Ops, source control, testing automation, and software development best practices.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in data modeling, OLAP design, API development, and ETL processes, including data cleansing and refreshes.
- 5+ years of experience with web services, APIs, and ETL integration/management.
- 5+ years of hands-on design, development, and implementation experience with IBM IIB/ACE, Mule Soft, or Boomi.
- 5+ years of strong technical experience with cloud and microservices architecture.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience building integration patterns, processes, and managing, deploying, and supporting APIs.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with databases, PL/SQL, and Linux.
- 7+ years of experience with message queuing, caching, complex mapping, branching, and parallel processing.
- 7+ years of experience working with JSON, XML, and flat-file formats, including CSV and fixed-width files.
- 7+ years of experience with troubleshooting and debugging complex integration issues.
- Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python programming.
- Experience with REST/SOAP, JMS, MQ, XML, JSON, and API development.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized application deployment.
- Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
Preferred Skills
- Experience designing and developing integration solutions using Mule Soft, in addition to IBM IIB/ACE.
- At least 2 years of AWS cloud experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with Java or Python.
- Experience with Team City and other Dev Ops/deployment tools.
- Experience with Sonar Qube.
- Experience with Ant and/or Maven.
- Experience with Bitbucket or similar source-control management tools.
- Experience with test automation tools such as TOSCA and Selenium.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, scalability, high availability, and technical sizing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops practices, and Git.
